Running for Hope, Healing, and Freedom

I run because it’s so symbolic of life. You have to drive yourself to overcome the obstacles. You might feel that you can’t. But then you find your inner strength and realize you’re capable of so much more than you thought.ā€ —Arthur Blank

I have been a runner for many years. Currently, I have a goal of running 1,400 miles. (Mile 1,325 has been logged!) This goal has a purpose of raising money for an addiction recovery organization. As I finish the remaining 75 miles, I am asking for pledges or donations.

Faithful and True Ministries is a sex and pornography addiction recovery ministry in the Twin Cities. One of the many services Faithful and True provides for men every month is an intensive 3-day workshop. This workshop is a meaningful way for men to begin the journey of uncovering causes of their addiction, discovering that a new way of living is possible, and that hope, healing, and freedom from sex or pornography addiction can happen.

The cost of the 3-day workshop is $1,400. The money raised through pledges and donations will help make it possible for more men to attend the workshop and experience the hope, healing, and freedom from addiction that I am grateful to have in my life. I want to ā€œpay it forwardā€ by giving men an opportunity to leave addiction behind and become the kind of men God has designed them to be. Better men. Better husbands. Better fathers.

Would you consider making a pledge or donation? Pledges and donations totaling $1.00 per mile makes it possible for one man to attend the workshop. Through the generosity of supporters like you, maybe we can provide an opportunity for two or three men. Here is the link to indicate your pledge for as little as $0.01 per mile. You can make a pledge per mile, or you may make a one-time donation.

Thank you for your consideration and support.
